Integrative Psychotherapy in Galway & Online

You may look like you’re coping on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, anxious, disconnected, or emotionally exhausted.

Maybe your mind feels constantly busy. Maybe you’ve spent so long holding everything together for others that you’ve become disconnected from yourself in the process. You may find yourself overthinking, emotionally shutting down, feeling stuck in certain patterns, or carrying stress and pressure that feels difficult to switch off from. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, feel heard, and better understand what may be happening beneath the surface — without pressure or judgement.

Private psychotherapy room in Galway City for integrative and trauma-informed therapy

I understand that reaching out for therapy can feel difficult, especially when part of you may want support while another part feels unsure where to begin.

My aim is to create a space where you feel emotionally safe enough to show up exactly as you are, without pressure, judgement, or needing to have everything figured out beforehand.

I work in a warm, relational, and trauma-informed way, supporting clients experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, overthinking, self-esteem difficulties, trauma, relationship struggles, and nervous system stress.

My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor therapy to each individual person and their needs, while gently helping clients build greater self-awareness, emotional understanding, grounding, and connection within themselves.

What therapy with me may feel like

Therapy with me is not about judgement, pressure, or trying to ‘fix’ you. It is about creating a space where you can slow down, understand yourself more deeply, and begin exploring what may be affecting you emotionally at your own pace.

Some sessions may involve reflection and conversation, while others may include grounding, body awareness, emotional processing, or exploring patterns that may be keeping you stuck emotionally. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and adapted to each person individually. I believe therapy should feel human, supportive, and emotionally safe.

Understanding the connection between mind and body

Emotional stress and trauma do not only affect the mind — they can also affect the body and nervous system.

Many people notice this through anxiety, tension, emotional shutdown, overthinking, difficulty relaxing, feeling constantly ‘on edge,’ or feeling disconnected from themselves.

Through a trauma-informed and somatic approach, therapy can help bring greater awareness to how your mind and body respond to stress, emotions, and past experiences, while supporting more grounding, regulation, and emotional connection over time.
